A beautiful example of what extended stress on the vines can produce. Though deep into some of the roughest drought years we have experienced here in California we were still able to produce this exceptional Santa Cruz Mountains; Estate gem. A bouquet of ripe fruit, sweet leaf litter, and spice, are mirrored on the palate with beautifully ripe black, and red fruits, gorgeous herbal underpinnings, and accents of Tahitian vanilla, clove, cardamom, and sweet pipe tobacco that carry on to pleasantly elegant finish. The tannins are ripe, but fine and firm to support this wines aging for the next 15 - 20 years.
