This 100% Syrah is a great example of the quality that comes from not only the Coastview Vineyard, but Monterey County as well. With a cooler, and wetter vintage in 2016 we finally get to see a bit of respite in the vines producing a much rounder, and cooler mouthfeel that is nothing but a beautiful mark of the finnesse to come from this vintage. A classic Syrah bouquet of Black and Red fruits, herbs, and savory meats that are mirrored on the palate with a seemless layering of complexities, a vibrant acidity, and a flinty mineral finish that speaks to the limestone in the soil structure. This exceptional wine will continue to age beautifully for the next 12 to 16 years.
